Under the hood, we use a range of different AI model providers to ensure the best tool is being used for each job. We're constantly updating the models we use to ensure you're getting the best possible experience, while maintaining a high standard of privacy.

Most importantly, TeacherGPT is built specifically for New Zealand teachers. Everything is aligned to the NZ curriculum, so you spend less time adapting generic outputs and more time teaching.

This covers our overhead costs of using the latest large language models, as well as our web hosting.

Every time you send a message to TeacherGPT we are charged a small fee by LLM providers — we’ve done our best to find a reasonable monthly price that works well for you, and us.

This is an anti-abuse limit we put in place to protect us from incurring huge, unpayable LLM provider fees. If you hit this limit (most people never do), just send us an email. We'll verify that you are a New Zealand teacher, and that you're not abusing the system, and will add more credits to your account.

You can cancel your subscription at any time by visiting the Settings page within TeacherGPT which is located at the bottom of your left-hand side bar. In the Subscription tab of this page you will see the option to cancel your subscription. If you do decide to cancel, you can continue to use TeacherGPT as usual until your current subscription period has expired.

If you decide to subscribe to TeacherGPT you will be billed $15 instantly, and you will then have have full access immediately. You will be billed again on the same date the following calendar month. For example, if you subscribe to TeacherGPT on February 5th, you will be billed again on March 5th.

There are two parts to adding staff (teachers, or admins) to your account. The first, requires that you have enough Seats allocated to your subscription. The second, requires you to invite the user to create an account within your organisation.

To increase or reduce the number of Seats allocated to your account, head over to your Subscription management page, within Settings. Here you will enter the number of accounts your schools requires, and save. Each Seat costs $15/month.

Now that you've allocated enough Seats, you will need to add or invite your staff by heading to the User management page, within Settings. Here you will be able to add new users, by clicking the Add User button, and entering their email address. This will email the user, prompting them to create an account, which will be automatically assigned to your organisation.

Within your User management page, you will see a list of your school's users. Click “Manage” on the user you wish to deactivate, and you will be able to deactivate that user. The user will be deactivated effective immediately.

Please note: Deactivating a user does not change the number of Seats your school will be charged for. To manage the number of Seats within your subscription, please head over to your Subscription management page and update the number of allocated Seats.
